Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that you have a lot of questions when it comes to buying a headstone or other services from us. It is not something you normally deal with, so it is new to many of our customers. We are here to answer any questions you have and would be glad to walk you through the entire process to make everything easier on you.
To help get you started, we have compiled some of our most asked questions. Hopefully this will give you a better idea of the process while you are researching it. We hope you will contact us with any other questions or stop by the office to speak to us in person.
Do you accept payments plans?
We will be happy to work with the customer.
Do you charge per letter?
No, since we do our own sandblasting here we do not charge per letter. Everything that you want on your headstone while it is here at our shop is included in the price.
What is the range of pricing for headstones?
The AVERAGE range for a headstone is anywhere between $4,000.00 to $5,500.00. You can purchase something less expensive or more expensive. We have a wide variety. The cemeteries all have their own rules that we have to go by as far as the size of your headstone.
Do graphics cost extra on the headstone?
Anything that we sandblast into the headstone is included in the price while here at the shop. If you have something etched on the headstone there is an additional cost. Also if you add a porcelain photo that is also an additional cost. If we have to digitize your own drawing there is a fee for that.
Are there any fees for the cemetery?
Yes, most cemeteries do charge a “foundation” fee depending on the size of your headstone. The cemetery will pour a cement pad for us to place your headstone on. Our price includes delivering and setting your headstone at the cemetery.
How long does the process take?
The average process takes 12 – 16 weeks depending on what you order. Some granite colors do take longer to get. Also a hand carved statue will add additional time to your order.
Can headstones be installed year round?
Yes, as long as your foundation has been poured.
Are you available by appointment?
Yes you can make an appointment, or you can just stop by our office. Our WINTER hours are Monday – Thursday 10:00 – 4:30 Friday’s 10:00 – 3:00. We will be happy to come in earlier or stay later if that works best for the family. We will also make appointments on Saturday or Sunday. We are off during the Christmas holiday week and the month of February. Please call office to make sure we are open before driving here.
I did not originally purchase my headstone from you; can I still hire you for lettering or cleaning?
Yes, we will be happy to letter your headstone or clean your headstone even if you did not purchase it from us.
Which towns/cemeteries do you work with?
We will work in any town or cemetery.
